The Yellow Submarine

Contrary to what the Beatles sang, we don’t all live in a Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine, but if you head to Somerset you can now stay in one for a unique experience you won’t stop talking about!

This uber-cool accommodation was originally a ship’s lifeboat – it was stolen by real Somalian Pirates after attacking a ship in the Indian Ocean and was later found drifting between the UK and Spain. The visionary guys from americanschoolbusglamping.com then applied their creative magic, and the result is just fabulous!

The Yellow Submarine feels like a proper Sub. Enter through the submarine-style bulkhead door and you’ll find lots of metalwork and portholes, pipes and dials, and gauges and meters.

Dive further, you’ll find the lights and sounds of Shark Detection systems, Giant Octopus alerts, Sea Monster warning devices and Anti-Whale-Bump technology – the whole concept is built around fun with buttons to press, a Radar and a Periscope to look out for Submarine-eating Giant Squid! Theres a big button which activates ‘Secret Red Status’ and another which takes you into Surfacing Mode.

The Yellow Submarine comfortably sleeps four guests and has heating, a kitchen and when not 1000 leagues under the Sea there’s a BBQ and Firepit outside. The whole conversion oozes quality and fun for a really unique stay.
